A Private Garden Estate for New England Couples
The Promise Gardens in Thurman, NY is a private garden estate where New England couples celebrate a full wedding weekend rather than a single wedding day. Restored 1800s barns, cultivated gardens, and the Three Sisters Mountains as a backdrop are set just beyond Lake George, close enough to reach by car, far enough to feel like a true escape.
Why New England Couples Choose an Estate
Why New England Couples Choose an Estate
Choosing a place is different from choosing a room. The Promise Gardens feels different from a traditional wedding venue because the entire property is yours: the gardens, the barns, the terrace, the fire pit, the wooded creek are held together as one continuous experience.

The Flow of the Day
Grace Barn is the pre-ceremony retreat. The wedding party gathers here to share lunch and mimosas, dress, relax, and prepare for first looks. Hair and makeup are completed off-site so the morning stays unhurried.
The Secret Garden, framed by antique blue doors and layered blooms, is where first looks, entrances, and portraits happen.
The Garden Terrace gathers everyone beneath hanging bistro lights cocktails, conversation, long-table welcome celebrations.
White Willow Pavilion, climate-controlled with an attached patio, seats dinner for up to 150.
Hudson Hall takes the evening from there. Crystal chandeliers, a twenty-foot bar, and lounge seating carry the celebration into dancing.
Plan Your Lake George Wedding Weekend
Our primary ceremony setting is the Mountain View Ceremony Garden, outdoors with the mountains as backdrop. White Willow Pavilion serves as the indoor alternative if weather turns. Dinner and dancing move indoors between the Pavilion and Hudson Hall.
Up to 150 guests for a seated dinner. White Willow Pavilion and Hudson Hall work together to give dinner and dancing their own distinct spaces, while Grace Barn holds the morning.
Yes. Weekday celebrations for 50–100 guests offer a more intimate atmosphere across the same gardens and mountain views.
